Short description: Human Resources – an important subject in every company, how many problems do HR Managers have today to get the necessary information, presented in a usable fashion? Most of the biggest companies in the world rely on SAP ERP Human Capital Management Software, so why not move away from the archaic SAP UI, throw in few mobility elements and present the same information using the new technology, on new devices that the Management can always have with them? Presenting the “world’s first” proper HR Mobile Application! Revolution? I would say evolution, and a necessary one at that…

Apple vs. Education System

by Nikola Novoselec

Well this was interesting, got contacted one morning to hold a lecture at the university of Organization and Informatics about Mobile Applications, particularly iPad Apps and the influence of tablets on the marketing and advertisement of products in corporate / business environment.

Why is that interesting? First of all I remember not so long ago, somewhere in 2007/2008 I was trying to get into every possible class at my university that had something to do with mobile technologies. The state-of-the-art mobile technology class was about base stations, signal transmission, GSM and 3G standards and modulations, code-division multiple access and other standards of multiplexing. No one knew anything or cared about mobile technologies, mobile phones or apps, that was just some stupid thing used for sending SMS and bother professors in class. Symbian was at the top of it’s game and everyone was crazy about the Ding-Ding-Dong Frog ringtone.

So how impressive is it that Apple managed to change all that in only a few years, where not only future engineers but also future economists and accountants want to learn about mobile applications, about tablets and the future of mobile marketing? I am very glad that the education system is changing because it’s about time to stop wasting people’s time with outdated information from the ’80s and actually teach relevant, useful things from this century.

About the picture, yeah I forgot my whip and hat… :D
